- Do I need to order my tickets in advance, or may I purchase them at the dock?
While we recommend that you purchase your tickets in advance to avoid any disappointment,
however you may be able to purchase them at the information booth or at the Chamber office. However we do not set aside tickets specifically for the booth and therefore, cannot
guarantee that there will still be tickets available the day of the cruise.
- What happens if I reserve tickets but cannot make it to the cruise?
When you order your tickets in advance you must pay the entire price of the tickets up front. Unfortunately we
cannot issue refunds if you are unable to attend the cruise you are scheduled for.
- Is there a group rate?
YES! If you are 30 or more seats a group rate does apply. Prices depend on the type of cruise you are booking. Contact our office for more information.
- How many passengers fit on the boat?
The MV Woodman has a capacity of 100 passengers.
- Can I book the cruise boat for a private birthday party?
YES! Private charters of any sort are available. Please contact our office for more details or to book your event.
- How many cruises are there each day?
The number of cruises varies from day to day. Check out our Schedule & Reservarions link for a listing of our daily cruises.
- What should I bring?
Being prepared for your cruise is an important step in making your voyage an entertaining one. Be sure to not only be prepared for your cruise, but also
a fun filled day in downtown Port Perry. Here is a check list of things that we recommend you pack to make sure you are prepared for this fun filled day of excitement.
- A raincoat and umbrella. We run our cruises rain or shine. Because of the enclosed lower deck and covered upper deck, we know that we can ensure the comfort of all passengers on board. However, you will want to make sure you are comfortable while you wait for your cruise to get underway.
- Money for refreshments and light snacks. Onboard, we have a full service refreshment and light snacks stand. The summers can get very warm and we suggest you come prepared to purchase water and juice to keep you hydrated and cool, as we do not allow you to bring your own refreshments.
- Sunscreen. After your cruise, you will want to check out the down town area of beautiful Port Perry. Be sure to use sunscreen to prevent burning.
- Back Pack. It is a good idea to bring a back pack with you. Because you are probably intending on checking out some of the local shops in town, a back pack will make it easier to carry your new found treasures than a regular shopping bag.
- Sturdy Shoes. At times, our deck can get quite slippery. We recommend that all passengers wear shoes that will give them support and traction to ensure they have a safe voyage.
- Camera. Be sure to bring a camera to capture the beauty of Lake Scugog and the town of Port Perry.
- Binoculars. Binoculars are, of course, not required to capture the many sights of Lake Scugog. However, you may want to bring them to help you see some of the birds and more secluded areas of the waterfront.
